In Pursuit of Infusing Ample Light into the Bedroom.

Updated: Jun 30

A light filled attic room with skylights, a bespoke headboard, blinds, lampshades and furniture.
A light filled attic room.

In pursuit of infusing ample light into the bedroom, I meticulously transformed the space. Here are the key changes I made:

Colour Palette: I painted the walls, floorboards, and ceiling in a pristine white hue. This choice not only brightened the room but also created a sense of openness.

For a touch of elegance, I opted for brass handles on the white wardrobe.

Wardrobe and Accents:

The wardrobe's lower section received a splash of Verdigris, adding a subtle contrast to the overall white theme.

The skirting boards, painted in Welmish Blue by Edward Bulmer Paint, introduced a calming and refreshing tone.

Natural Light:

The attic room boasts three windows and two skylights, strategically positioned to flood the space with natural light during the day.

Custom Creations:

I crafted a headboard using my own fabric design, Aztec.

The blinds, fashioned from Hourglass Blue fabric, maintain privacy white allowing sunlight to filter through.

Additionally, one blind features my Vienna Blue fabric for a harmonious blend.

Soft furnishings:

The cushions, adorned with Medley Leaf and Medley Leaf Blue patterns, lend comfort and style.

A whimsical ceiling light shade adds a playful touch to the room.

Illumination:

To enhance functionality, I installed two wall lights flanking the headboard.

On the side tables, I placed two lamps, their shades also crafted from Medley Leaf fabric.

finishing touches:

Inside the sideboard, I added a curtain using Folklore fabric, seamlessly integrating storage and aesthetics.

Availability:

All the fabrics mentioned are accessible through my personally created website.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this revamped bedroom.
